2. Repack
When you import products from China to Australia/USA/UK, you need to talk with your Chinese factories to make sure the package is good for international shipping.
DAKA International Transport Company is a shipping agent who specialize in international shipping from China to Australia/USA/UK. A lot of buyers did not talk about the packaging requirement with their Chinese factories especially when they buy large items like sofa, bed, massage chair. Also a lot of Chinese factories did not pack the products as per the requirement of international shipping.
Below are some bad examples we ever met :
1. Big bags and cartons without forklift feet. Difficult to load them into container and unload.
In Australia/USA/UK, local labor law does not allow workers to carry these packages together by hand as it is not safe.
2. Although the package has forklift feet, the forklift feet is less than 10cm and can not support a forklift’s normal working
3. Package did not cover the products or the products are in nude packing
4. Package include raw wood material. Raw wood needs to be fumigated before we can export from China to Australia/USA/UK

When you buy products from different suppliers in China, we can save money by consolidate different suppliers together into one shipment , which is much cheaper than separate shipping.

Customer’s confirm
DAKA get cargo details from your every Chinese supplier and then quote shipping cost and shipping schedule for customer’s confirm
Cargo entry into warehouse
After customer approve DAKA’s shipping solution, DAKA will send warehouse entry notice to each supplier, or DAKA pick up products from the Chinese factory into our Chinese warehouse.
Chinese customs clearance
DAKA will get the documents from each Chinese supplier and prepare Chinese customs clearance.
International Shipping
DAKA will get the cargo onto airplane/vessel as per booked schedule
Import customs clearance
Before vessel/airplane arrives at destination country for example Australia, DAKA will coordinate with the Chinese suppliers and consignee to prepare destination customs docs
Delivery to consignee’s door
After vessel/airplane arrives and destination country customs release the cargo, we will deliver the cargo to consignee’s door.

5. How much is warehousing/repacking/labeling?
The warehousing/repacking/labeling price is mainly related to land cost and labor cost. So the price is very different between in China and in Australia/USA/UK . Even in different cities of China,the price is different.
Also, what kind of products will also affect warehousing/repacking/labeling price. Warehousing for dangerous products or chemicals etc is much higher than general products. Repacking fee for large items like making a wooden box for a big machine is much higher than repacking a small box. Labeling fee is mainly depending on the quantity of products and customer’s requirement.

6. Customs bonded warehouse
DAKA Transport can provide warehousing in both general warehouse, and customs bonded warehouse.
General warehouse is not monitored by customs and we can get the cargo in and out without approval from customs.
Customs bonded warehouse is monitored by customs . We need to get approval from customs when we get the cargo in and out ,repack and put on labels, etc. Every action in the customs bonded warehouse shall meet customs’ requirement.
Customs bonded warehouse can be divided into export bonded warehouse and import bonded warehouse.
Export bonded warehouse is for exporting, and we can make export customs clearance there.
When we ship cargo from China to Australia by LCL , we use Chinese export bonded warehouse. This is because LCL means different shipments share a container. We need to make customs clearance for each shipment first and then we load the customs released cargo into container. This can void the delay of a whole container because of someone’s cargo stuck in customs.

Import bonded warehouse is mainly for import shipments. Cargo can get into the warehouse first and then make import customs clearance. When we make LCL shipments from China to Australia, we need to use Australian import bonded warehouse. We can get the container into the AU bonded warehouse to seperate each customer’s products and then we make import customs clearance. This can avoid whole container delay if someone’s cargo was not customs released in time
If we use general warehouse for importing , we can only get the whole container customs released then we can unpack the container in Australia to separate cargo. Without export bonded warehouse, if someone’s cargo get stuck in customs clearance, the whole container need to stop in the Australian port.
